Marianne's Quilts

The first quilt is Marianne's husbands quilt, he did an excellent job on the piecing, perfectly square quilt!  I did lot's of stitch in the ditch and ruler work, but love how it turned out!  I used Hobbs batting and sew fine thread (two colors, a light green and light tan).

The second quilt is Marianne's and her piecing was excellent too.  I had fun in the borders and love how the swirls look for the center of the quilt.  Also used Hobbs batting and sew fine thread (gold and light blue).

  3. Love how geometric the basket quilt looks doing so much ruler work and leans toward the masculine side. Then the second quilt is wonderful too, so girly with all the swirls plus curvy feathers. It is amazing seeing so many quilts done in such a short time and they are all so different. Thanks for sharing!

  10. Jenny, your quilting is so beautiful and inspiring! Your blog is one of them that brightens my day, so thank you for sharing your skills!

I notice that you have removed your top bar from your Gammil frame. Do you mind sharing how you manage to keep your quilts so nice and straight without the bar? I use that bar as a guide (I float, like you do) and I would love to take it off as it sometimes slams on my hand (mine is a Nolting) but for the life of me I'm not sure how to keep the quilt straight if I do. If you wouldn't mind sharing your tip?
