This is Debra's totally Modern Quilt. I believe she made it for her daughter and thanks again for the help on the center squares.  This took me a bit longer than I anticipated...but still happy with the results!  This is a hard one to part with, it looks really good in my family room!!

THANKS!

Wow thanks so much for all the idea's!!  I would have never come up with this....

I really liked the idea of the diagonal wavy thing...and assurance that my circle idea was good also helped,  so I combined the two and am satisfied!  Thanks again!

A little advice..

Just started this quilt today and like how it's going.  Debra wanted the quilting simple but modern.  I initially planned on putting a circle in the small square box,  but don't like it.   Any ideas? Please?

Thanks!

This is Sandy's quilt....Crab Apple Hill Design.  I used off white thread in the white embroidery blocks and black/white variegated thread on the black and pieced blocks.  I like how it made it look like cob webs.   This was a fun one to quilt up.  Sandy did a GREAT job on her hand embroidery!!

This quilt is Ann's.  I did the pattern "Feathered Curl" on it.  I thought it turned out very pretty!

This is Eleanor's quilt.  She is a pattern maker...and I'm lucky to quilt up her designs.  Fun little Christmas quilt.  I used the pattern "Gothic Vine" on it and used a red/green/white variegated thread by Superior....LAVA.

This is Cinda's quilt for her shop Calico Creations.  I had fun quilting this up in my new renovated quilt studio!

This is also Cinda's.  I used the pattern "Patriot" and a red/white/blue variegated thread by King Tut.

...also had quite a busy week cleaning up my studio and making it more functional!!  More pictures on my other blog and a give away!!

This is Diane's quilt.  I loved all the different shades of blue and she gave me permission to do some straight line quilting...I thought looked great on it!

Mail Candy!

These sweet pre-wounds are like candy to me!  I was sweatin...I only have 3 left.  NOT NOW!!  So when I first bought these I never thought I would use white very much..  I use to really try hard to match my top and bottom threads and therefore was winding many...many...bobbins!  But the more I started using these the more I loved them.  The white is pretty thin and so it blends real nice on most backs....with most Medium to light tone threads on top.

They are magnetic on one side and therefore snug in to the bobbin case.  You do need to take out the bobbin spring to use these.

I ordered them through Fil-Tec.

They do have other colors but it is there "glide" thread line.  And it is thicker.  I'm sticking to these for now.  There is more thread on a bobbin and the only one's that come in a box, besides black.

Just though I'd share one of my "longarm" candies I can't live with out!!

This is Chris's quilt.  She made it for a Niece's graduation gift...I believe.  I used the pattern "Gilded" and it was very square!  Nice piecing Chris!

Karen's Quilts

These 4 quilts are Karen's.  Karen is a fairly new quilter and I think she did a great job on these quilts.  I was suppose to have these done a few weeks ago.  But Karen being as sweet as she is new Jared was having Medical issues and she told me to not stress over them and to get them done when I can.  Thanks Karen!!  She wanted me to do the binding on all of them.
I'm anxious to call her and let her know they are done!

This is Kathy's cute little duck quilt.  I outlined the ducks and did a freehand swirl around them.
